How to determine the right saddle for your guitar.
Floyd Rose has been manufactured by Schaller since it's inception. Schaller still continues to manufacture high quality replacement saddles for both the Original Floyd as well as their own Schaller models. There are tons of 'Licensed By' models of double locking tremolos and most follow the Schaller sizes but not all. Below is the size and info needed to determine if a Schaller saddle will fit your tremolo. Make sure if it's a licensed by system that the measurements are the same.
|
Low (1st String, 6th String)
2 or 2 dots |
Medium (5th String, 2nd String)
1 or 1 dot |
High (4th String, 3rd String)
No numbers or dots |
1st string "E" / 6th string "E" = Low Saddle
2nd string "B" / 5th string "A" = Medium Saddle
3rd string "G" / 4th string "D" = High Saddle
Some manufacturers of replacement saddles use lines instead of numbers or dots. Schaller uses lines on the Low-Profile saddles.
