How to Identify Marshall Amplifier Pots
  • We recommend always opening the amp and verifying part values and sizes before ordering
  • Physical size measurements refer to the diameter of the pot casing
  • Values on pot have a letter associated with it - A=Audio , B=Linear , C=Audio
  • 24mm (approx 15/16") - used on JCM800 and older models
  • 16mm (approx 5/8") - used on JCM900, Solid State

    • ALWAYS DRAIN CAPS BEFORE OPENING!!
    Plug in Speakers. With sound coming thru speakers turn power off with standby still on. Wait 5 minutes. Unplug & open.

    REMEMBER: If You Are Not A Qualified Technician, Don't Take Chances With Electricity!
